A Monocoque body

A Monocoque body eliminates the need for a side plate and allows a more rigid body to be made and larger gears to be used for improved winding power and torque. The Daiwa Certate LT’s forged machine-cut Tough Digigear is 2mm larger in diameter than its closest competitor. Combining the benefits of our MQ Monocoque body and new gear design, 19 Certate is more durable, smoother, and more powerful than all others. 19 Certate’s Monocoque body is the most advanced, lightest, and strongest body we’ve ever developed for a Certate.

Strength is one thing, but the smoothness of a fishing reel is often the easiest feature to feel, and 19 Certate again raises the bar in this realm. Rotation efficiency is up 15%, creating an effortless feel when retrieving. This increase in efficiency is thanks to three main parts. A super-rigid stainless steel main shaft, MQ Monocoque body, and the precision-cut forged aluminum Tough Digigear.

All the latest features are included

Classic in looks yet modern and advanced in technology and design, the new Daiwa Certate LT continues the famous reel’s rich history of evolution and excellence. Technology to feel and refinement that’s sublime, the new Certate LT is Next Strong.

Combining additional features like Long Cast ABS spool, Mag Seal, ATD drag, one-piece Air Bail, new Drag Knob, Perfect Line Stopper, Machined Aluminium Air Handle, and Air Rotor combining to make the new Certate LT our most advanced Certate ever.

The Daiwa 19 Certate LT Ark range of spinning reels now comes equipped with a large ball knob which makes for an aesthetically pleasing and comfortable reel to use. The Daiwa Certate LT Ark has a power handle designed for those who want extra cranking power to make use of the high drag rating and strength of the Certate LT MQ Monocoque body and machine-cut Tough Digigear.

Lightweight and saltwater compatible

Built around Daiwa’s LT “Light and Tough” concept, the Certate LT utilizes a lightweight, compact body to house an oversized precision machined main gear for the perfect combination of power and precision. Daiwa has borrowed their revolutionary monocoque single-piece body design from their ultra-high-end models like the Daiwa Exist LT to create an aluminum frame that not only provides extreme rigidity and strength but eliminates the necessity for pins and screws to hold the body together, thus making the reel more resistant to water intrusion.

This frame design, in addition to Daiwa’s proprietary Magseal technology used to seal the main shaft and roller bearing, make the Certate LT a reel fit to withstand the elements in both freshwater and saltwater environments.

ADVANCED AIR ROTOR & CORROSION RESISTANT BALL BEARINGS

Other standard-issue Daiwa features, such as a lightweight Zaion Air Rotor Design and corrosion-resistant ball bearings, make the Certate LT a proper weapon of choice for those looking to dominate the lakes and inshore waters with the latest cutting-edge performance.

Daiwa Certate LT’s premier spinning reel series sets the standards for corrosion-resistant reels. The Daiwa Certate LT has a Magsealed main shaft and line roller. There are also 10 corrosion-resistant ball bearings (CRBB) to keep Daiwa Certate LT reels running smooth, even in the roughest of conditions.

Daiwa Certate LT internal parts

Daiwa’s Air Rotor weighs up to 15% less than ordinary rotor designs. Its unique shape reduces unnecessary weight while distributing stress more evenly throughout the rotor for maximum strength. Last up to 12 times longer than standard stainless steel ball bearings.

LT CONCEPT

Now with a smaller and more compact frame, the Daiwa LT family of reels utilizes a small, lightweight frame with a larger DigiGear for the perfect combination of Light and Tough.

DIGIGEAR & Magnetic Oil

Daiwa’s all-new DigiGear is precision-machined, cut, and polished. This offers maximum efficiency with a better transfer of energy and unmatched smoothness. Magnetic Oil is one of the new generations of Nano Fluids that can change density and shape when a magnetic field is applied.

Reviews Of New Daiwa Certate LT Spinning Reel

I bought my first-generation Daiwa Certate 3000 in 2005, and I’m still using it today in 2022. Its drag, bail arm, line roller, and winding operation are still smooth as silk. This is why I highly recommend this product-

You get even more for what you paid.

This Daiwa Certate LT is mind-blowing. It’s one of the smoothest reels I’ve ever handled. This thing has one giant main gear that helps in cranking on that fish on the other end. It features a lot of stuff from its big brothers, the Daiwa Saltiga, and man, it’s absolutely the best thing you can, honestly, but in this price range right now.

Remarkable

This is by far the smoothest reel that I’ve ever handled. It is rugged and light as well. The handle is comfortable as well. I have the Daiwa Certate LT 3000xh paired with a 6’6” St Croix Avidx that I primarily use to throw Senko worms for LMB. It is quite simply the best reel I’ve ever handled.Daiwa Certate LT handle

Best reel I’ve ever owned!

After using the previous Daiwa Certate model extensively for snapper, barra, and other species (Samson’s up to 15 kg), I really didn’t think that reel could be improved on… But Daiwa has managed to somehow take the new Daiwa Certate LT to another level altogether, smooth as silk yet tough as buggery.
This reel is my go-to for reds and barra… I couldn’t recommend them highly enough!

Versatile, reliable, tough as nails, apply serious hurt to fish

I’ve caught Barra, Spangled Emperor, Coral Trout, GTs, Golden Trevally, Queenfish, Mangrove Jack, Pink Snapper, Finger Mark Bream, big Flathead, and you name it, it’s handled it.
I Exmouth WA, I tightened down the drag to almost locked up, and skull dragged a 6 kg, 80 cm Spangled Emperor to the boat. Also, I did the same for a 1 m Golden Trevally.
I am looking forward now to using my new Daiwa Certate LT alongside my old Daiwa Certate. The lightness, smooth operation, physics-defying smooth drag, and fish-fighting ability of this reel are unbelievable and make me all the keener to go fishing.

Final Words

After owning my Daiwa Certate LT 3000 for three months now, I have nothing but praise for its performance and durability, especially its ultra-smooth drag when fighting fish. It is good for bait fishing, lure casting, jigging, trolling, skinny water, deep water, finesse fishing for Black Bream, or guns out brawling with big piscatorial brutes. Happy to use this reel all day, and it’s a must for any avid angler looking for a great all-rounder!!

  1. Good,

First of all thanks for the Review, now I have a doubt, I am undecided between the Stella SW-C and the Certate G LT 2022, in size I am looking at 4000. All to pair it with a Tailwak Two Limit 103 rod.
Which of the two reels would you recommend? It is for fishing in the Cantabrian Sea.

    Cheers
