The New Daiwa Procyon LT spinning reel is lighter by weight yet strong and rigid in the LT Concept. The body is constructed from Zaion, a high density carbon strain material that is 20 percent stronger and 50 percent lighter than traditional nylon and aluminum. The True Carbon Body is reduced in size and weight, yet provides a rigid framework for the powerful gearing. The well-balanced Air Rotor is 15 percent lighter than conventional rotors yet just as strong.

The New Daiwa Procyon LT is built on Daiwa’s LT Light and Tough platform, the Daiwa Procyon LT Spinning Reels feature a compact, lightweight construction that makes no compromises in the areas of power and durability.

The Daiwa LT section which is the light tough spinning reels has a new addition on spinning reels and it’s the new Procyon LT. Absolutely beautiful reel what makes this reel special as part of the LT line but actually has a ZAION frame and you’ll find that ZAION frame on our ballistics you also find it on our tatulas what makes it special is that the ZAION material if you trying to bend it is really hard to bend so that keeps the gears and precise align it cleaves the stem from flexing. Most of the competition in the industry right now, they’re carbon and as you know it bends.

The ZAION hardly bends it all so that’s gonna keep everything in precise alignment, it also has our direct drive gear system, so the gear directly drives into the wheel. I guess it absolutely beautiful reel you’re looking at a price point of $159.

An ATD Drag System uses a new proprietary grease that enables the reel to apply smooth and consistent start up drag pressure from the first pull. The rigid machined aluminum handle smoothly transfers power to the stout Digigears. The Digigears are accurately cut from a strong light-weight cold-forged aluminum making for a silky smooth operation. With 6 Ball Bearings and a roller bearing the reel is as smooth as silk. Sizes from 1000 to 4000.

New Daiwa Procyon LT 2020 Reviews:

Procyon is definitely stronger

4.0 rating

It’s Z carbon Is definitely stronger / zero flex in this reel – also very light . I Do prefer this thicker bail wire . Drag works great . Just a typical Daiwa reel = outstanding & what I have come to expect over the years . Only one complaint – for the price the mag sealed bearing would have been very nice . It’s in the Daiwa fuego, so why not the more expensive Daiwa Procyon?

Daiwa Procyon LT = Rugged!

5.0 rating

I throw this thing around and to be honest – Don’t treat it as the quality reel that it is. Thing still functions as the same day I bought it. GREAT REEL!
